Sveti
Petar u Sumi (St.Peter in the woods) is the settlement that is situated on the
hill of Limska draga (Limska creek) and Raska dolina (Raska valley). The oldest
small houses and low ground floor houses have been recently covered by stone boards.
This is a settlement from Middle Ages. The baroque church of the St. Peter and
St.Paul as well as the monastery were all bulit at the end of the 12th century.
Altars in the side chapels originate from the 17th century. Organs, the pulpit
and carved benches are very interesting. Benedictine abbey is placed on the
hill, and after it had been deserted and had become a ruin, the new closter was
built.
