Supetar is a town on the
northern side of the island of Brac, and it is also a harbor, with 2,568
inhabitants. Its name derives from the bay St Peter. The St Peter's church burnt down, but was
later rebuilt, and today many art work are kept in this church. The Mausoleum of the Petrinović family is
located on the local cemetery, as well as monuments built by sculptor Ivan
Rendic. The old Croatian church of St Luke, near Supetar, is interesting
because of its stucco works presenting a ship.
