The island of Zlarin lies in the Sibenik Archipelago. This island is also called the golden island, the green island or the island of corals. It has many historical monuments. The oldest one is the Gothic church of The Lady from Raselj , built in 1740. On the remains of the old church another church was built in baroque style, The Shurch of the High Mary. St Roko chapel and St Simun chapel were built in 17th century. The island of Zlarin is small, quiet island, suitable for vacation of families with small children. Cars are not allowed on the island, but there is a good boat connection to Sibenik, Prvic or Vodice. The island of corals is famous because it is the only island in the Adriatic Sea which inhabitants are taking corals from the sea and refine them, making in the end beautiful jewelry. The accommodation can be found in hotels, and room and apartments of family houses.
