Valtura is the settlement in the southern part of Istria, 11 kilometres on
the north-east from Pula. There live 540 inhabitants. In its surroundings
people take out and process a decorative stone with beautiful patterns. Valtura
is known for its rich historical heritage back from Roman times. The finding
site called Nezakcij is situated 2 kilometres far away from Valtura and is the
favourite destination of archaeologists. From Illyrian times originate
necropolis, city wall and and the remains of the settlement. The most valuable
findings from Nezakcij are kept in Archaeological Museum in Pula. You will find
recreation in numerous bicyclist and pedestrian paths. This one of the places
that has the most sunny days in a year.
