Postira is small tourist place with about 1300 inhabitants, located on the north part of the island, east from Supetar. Its name is mentioned for the first time in 1347. Among the sights that you can see are the Church of St John the Baptist , built in the 16th century. The easiest way to reach Postira is by ferry line Split - Supetar, and then you take the road for about 9 kilometers towards Pucisce, or you can take the ferry line Makarska - Sumartin instead.Postira has a natural location ideal for harbor, so this village is known as a harbor and a fishermen place surrounded with fertile land that shall enable you to enjoy the local food and vine.  Besides that, the pleasure of laying on the pebble and sandy beaches will make your vacation the unforgettable one.
