The town Pag was set up
according to the schemes of the great constructor, Juraj Dalmatinac. It has two
main streets that meet at the central square. Besides these two, there are many
subordinate small streets. The count court that was built by Juraj Dalmatinac,
is placed on the main town square. It is famous by the tower on which there is
a sun dial, and on the ground-floor of the tower there was a prison once. In
Pag there were built many churches, and some of them are: the St.George church,
the St.Francis church, the St.Margareth church, the parochila church of the
extol of the Holy Virgin Mary, etc. Ivan Mirkovic raised a monument to Juraj
Dalmatinac. Pag is famous by the manufacturing of the Pag lace, cheese and by
the Pag carnival.
