Dugi Otok is the biggest island in the archipelago of Zadar, about an hour and a half by ferry away from the town of Zadar. Dugi otok gives you time-out and peace in mild climate. In its ten places live 3000 inhabitants. The biggest place is Sali, on the southern side of the island, facing Kornati. You will easy get around the island, as the roads are good. Many sailors visit Dugi Otok. Here is also the nature park Telascica, salt lake, sand beach Saharun, the light house Veli Rat, and Kornati. There are settlements nearby - Zmagla, Zman, Brbin, Bozava, Luka, Soline, Dragove and Savar. You can take ferry to Zadar, Brbinje and Zaglav. The Sali field is a olive grove called the Olive forest. From larger island there are Ist, Olib, Pasman and Ugljan. The inhabitants are growing grape wines and olives, fishing and raising cattle.
