Cara (pronounced Tsara) is a small settlement with about 700 inhabitants, located in the central part of the island of Korcula, 25 kilometers away from the town of Korcula and 4 kilometers east from the village Smokvice. The most important thing that people grow is wine grapes, used for making famous quality wine Posip. Cultural sights that you can see are the St Peter's church, built in 1728, and the church of Mary of Car (pronounced Tsar) field, from 14th century.
